The Center for Educational Resources (CERES) at Montana State
The Center for Educational Resources (CERES) at Montana State University brings together faculty and classroom teachers from across the nation to develop and field-test science curriculum materials, all of which are deliverable online. CERES has produced an extensive electronic library of standards-based K-12 science education resources, engaging web-based interactives, and highly structured graduate level Internet-delivered courses in space science using NASA resources, data, and images.  We disseminate all of our materials via the Internet, in alignment with the Office of Space Science Education/Public Outreach strategy to focus on high leverage opportunities. http://btc.montana.edu/ceres

Comcast

The "Space Academy" series- launched in 2000 by The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Comcast and The Discovery Channel - takes students behind the scenes of actual space missions and introduces them to engineers and scientists working on some of NASA's most exciting projects. http://www.spaceacademy.jhuapl.edu/

Glenelg Country School

Glenelg Country School is a coeducational college-prepatory independent day school located in Howard County, Maryland with grades pre-K through 12. www.glenelg.org

Howard B. Owens Science Center

The mission of the Howard B. Owens Science Center is to support, reinforce, and enrich the Prince George's County curriculum by providing students in grades K-12 with opportunities to participate in unique hands on science activities; modeling best practices in science instruction; infusing technology into the science classroom; and promoting science literacy in the greater community.

NASA'S Minority University-SPace Interdisciplinary Network (MU-SPIN)

To help train the next generation of NASA's minority scientists and engineers, NASA created the Minority University-SPace Interdisciplinary Network (MU-SPIN). MU-SPIN was started in 1990 by the Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and has remained a highly effective tool as it has continually grown and evolved over the past decade. The program serves America's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and Tribal Colleges. http://muspin.gsfc.nasa.gov/

NASA's The Space Place

A multi-faceted NASA outreach program targeting elementary age children through adults.  A variety of unique educational products in a variety of media are distributed via the internet and an extensive network of local community and national partnerships. http://spaceplace.nasa.gov

Northern Maine Museum of Science

The Northern Maine Museum of Science (NMMS) is part of the University of Maine at Presque Isle and was developed to promote math and science education in Aroostook County, one of the nation's most rural and underserved regions.

The Northern Maine Museum of Science, officially opened in 1996, houses mostly natural history collections, a 20,000-specimen herbarium, five natural areas, a nature trail, multiple science exhibits and displays on three floors of the Folsom Hall academic building; and has recently developed its educational outreach in the form of a Library of Traveling Trunks Program to serve formal and informal educators in science and math education.

The university Museum collaborates with the nearby Nylander Museum and with a large number of communities in support of the Maine Solar System Model (MSSM), a 40-mile-long, single-scale (1 mile=1AU), 3D model built by the people of northern Maine under coordination of university professor of geology Dr. Kevin McCartney. The model is located along the main N-S highway Route 1, that dissects Aroostook County. http://www.umpi.maine.edu/info/nmms/museum.htm

PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE

PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE (P2K) is public television's longest-running series of interactive science adventures, and also appears on NASA-TV. P2K's mission is to excite young people by connecting them to real world research embodying key science concepts and the innovative use of high technology. P2K shows diverse, young researchers at work on scientific frontiers, presenting inspiring role models for the next generation of scientists, technicians and engineers. All P2K projects feature websites with hands-on inquiry-based activities, state and national standards correlations, biographical and career information about the researchers seen on camera, and links to the best of NASA and other online resources. Real Science, Real Scientists, Real Locations, Real Learning. http://passporttoknowledge.com
